Welcome to the latest edition of our newsletter ! Hopefully this finds you all well, and all your businesses doing well too. In this edition: As per our front-page cartoon, in this edition we are looking at change. With the recent change in government there is of course going to be a change in government priorities and policy focus. So, in this edition I thought it would be useful to take a look at what the new Labour government has planned for us all as businesses and employers. This is in relation to those proposed policies which might affect members – such as Transport, Employment, Energy and Environmental issues. Once again, I have flagged up the ‘free-money’ on offer through the government under the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF) scheme. Phase 3 was meant to have just opened – but it has been delayed due to the election, so funds should still be available to be spent on energy saving projects. Eventually we will all be forced to decarbonise – so why not get the government to fund some of those costs. From members –
